The locomotives use lead-acid batteries as a power source, by connecting elements or 2V battery cells connected by flexible bolted connections. For coal mines, a connection scheme is made to ensure that the potential difference between adjacent elements is not greater than 14V.
For coal mines, we use increased safety protection mode (e) with the explosion-proof socket (de) with mechanical interlocking that ensures that it does not accidentally disconnect.
For metal mines, a commercial bipolar socket is used.
It is recommended to charge the battery daily, except when the discharge has been slight, and the density is above 1.22. The density of a fully charged battery is 1.27 at 30ºC and 1.15 discharged to 80%. It is recommended that the battery not be discharged beyond 80% of its nominal capacity, and NEVER store or leave a discharged battery.
